To win a match, you need to score at least 4 points. Scoring goes like
this: 15 is one point, 30 is 2 points, and 40 is 3 points. Whoever wins
the fourth point, wins that match. If both players have the score of 40,
it would be called a "deuce". When a duece is met, the player who wins two
points in a row will win the match.
Winning:
As said before, you need to score at least 4 points (with no deuce).
Winning 6 of those matches (you also have to be clear by at least 2 games)
will give you a point of a set. The first to 7 sets will win.
Rules:
The game starts by flipping a coin. Who ever guesses correctly, heads or
tails, will choose which side to serve on, and who will serve the ball.
The server will then serve the ball into the service box that is
diagonal to them. If the ball doesn't reach the service box on it's
first bounce, the server is then given a second chance. If the server
misses another serve, the opposing player will then recieve the point.
The reciever (the player who hits back the ball the server serves them)
may stand whereever on the court they wish to recieve the ball. If the
server serves successfully without the reciever hitting back the ball on
its first bounce, the server gets the point.
Points in tennis are won by hitting the ball so the opposing player
doesn't return the ball in scoring areas.
The player loses the point if they fail to return the ball in the
correct areas of the court, hits the net and doesn't go into oppoenents
area, or fails to hit the ball after it bounced twice.
The ball can hit any part of the line on the court to be called in. If
the ball hit is outside of the lines before it bounces once, it's
delcared out and the opposing player gets the point.
